Mistakes

Everyone makes mistakes, even though many deny it. Most mistakes depending on how large it is can cause a series of events that could cause an issue in the future. Kings killed their wives so they could remarry since most of them believed they made a mistake marrying the person, others avoided them their wives at all costs. Major shipping companies make shipping mistakes such as sending the wrong package to the wrong person. The most effective mistakes than be caused is by Parents. Parents lie to their children, but not in a negative way they lie to protect their child. In the short story “The Lie” by Kurt Vannegut, Jr. Eli the main character lie’s to his parents about failing the entry exams into White Hill boarding school, much similar to how Jonah the main character from the book “FOUND” by Margaret Peterson Haddix, reacted when he began to receive odd letters. Lying is not always a negative, sometime we lie to boost one’s self esteem, for example say a man who flunked out of middle school for failing every assignment and test asked you “Do you think I am intelligent?” What would your response be? Children lie either because they don’t want to get in to trouble or they don’t want their parents to worry. Some companies are built on nothing but lies, insurance companies con around 23% of the population out of their money, and still continue to until they have run their client dry of money. If everyone told the truth these companies wouldn’t exist, but telling the truth isn’t always a good thing.
In the novel “No Second Chance” the main character gets a second chance to retrieve his daughter from a group of kidnappers, the first time the group had called he let the police get involved he lost his daughter, he realized if he informed the police he would lose his daughter again, so he went alone. In the book “Among the Hidden” also by Margret Peterson Haddix Luke the main character lies to his parents about sneaking over into his neighbor’s yard and seeing Tera. People don’t need to know everything. People who usually don’t lie then suddenly lie about something huge undergo physical and mental issues. In T.V. shows people exaggerate lying effects on people such as, twitching of the eye, throwing up, sweating a lot. Two years ago one my sisters friend’s lied about going to school to his parents, she actually spent the whole day at the mall. At least a week later the lie had completely consumed here, her hair was faded and falling out, and she hadn’t fallen asleep in days. She finally confessed, and was grounded for a week, guilt can do terrible things to a beings mind. People who lie always get caught, whether it be years after they lie someone will now the truth. We all lie for a reason whether it is for a negative or positive reason it will always lead to an outcome that will affect the person. Weather the effects are painful and long, or meaningless and short. No one is perfect everyone lies
